Our commitment

CareBridge Medical aims to provide an inclusive digital experience and to remove avoidable barriers that could prevent a person from finding information, understanding our services or arranging care.

We seek to consider accessibility when publishing new content, designing pages, selecting third-party services and making changes to the website.

Accessibility standard

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. WCAG is an internationally recognised standard for making web content more perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.

CareBridge Medical also seeks to meet any accessibility requirements that apply to the digital services we provide under Irish and European law, including applicable requirements arising from the European Accessibility Act and its implementation in Ireland.

Because the precise legal obligations that apply can depend on the type of service and the size and status of the service provider, this statement does not make a blanket claim of statutory compliance beyond what has been assessed and verified.

What we are doing to improve accessibility

Our website is being developed and maintained with accessibility in mind. We aim to:

• use clear page headings and a logical content structure;
• provide meaningful link text and descriptive labels;
• add alternative text to informative images;
• use sufficient colour contrast for essential text and controls;
• support keyboard navigation where technically possible;
• avoid relying on colour alone to communicate important information;
• use readable font sizes, spacing and responsive layouts;
• make forms and interactive controls understandable and clearly labelled;
• provide contact alternatives where an online process is difficult to use;
• review new pages and major redesigns for common accessibility barriers.

Known and possible limitations

The CareBridge Medical website is updated regularly and includes content created at different times. Some older pages, documents or components may not yet meet every WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criterion.

We may identify additional issues through testing, user feedback or future accessibility reviews. Where a barrier is identified, we will consider its impact and work to correct it as part of our ongoing website maintenance.

We do not currently state that the website has passed a complete independent WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance audit.

Third-party services

Some parts of the patient journey may use services provided by third parties, including the online appointment-booking system. These services may have their own accessibility features, technical limitations and accessibility statements, and some elements may be outside CareBridge Medical's direct technical control.

If a third-party booking or digital service creates an accessibility barrier, please contact us. We will provide reasonable assistance and, where possible, offer another way to access the relevant service.

Alternative ways to access our services

You do not have to rely solely on the website or online booking system to contact CareBridge Medical.

If you need information from this website in another accessible format, please tell us what information you need and, where relevant, what format would be most useful to you. We will make reasonable efforts to assist.

We welcome feedback about accessibility barriers on the CareBridge Medical website or during an online booking process.

Where the European Accessibility Act applies to an e-commerce service, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) is the relevant Irish compliance authority for e-commerce services. Consumers can obtain information about accessibility rights and report concerns through the CCPC.

Review and maintenance

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We intend to review this statement when there are significant changes to the website, when accessibility testing identifies material issues, or when relevant standards or legal requirements change.

Where practical, future accessibility testing may include a combination of automated checks, keyboard testing, visual review, screen-reader testing and manual review against relevant WCAG criteria.
