Prescription and device supply
For patients eligible under the free contraception scheme, we can issue the required prescription. For patients who are not covered, hormonal and copper IUDs are available to purchase directly from the clinic.

Common questions
Do I need a GP referral?
No. A GP referral is not required for our gynaecology, fertility, family-planning, contraception or IUD services.
Is ultrasound included in the fertility consultation?
Yes. Pelvic ultrasound is included in the price of the initial fertility consultation.
Are fertility blood tests available?
Yes. Fertility-related blood tests can be arranged where clinically appropriate. The clinic should confirm whether these are included or charged separately.
Do you provide semen analysis?
No. Semen analysis is not performed at CareBridge Medical. Your clinician can advise you about arranging it through an external provider.
Do you provide pregnancy follow-up?
No. We provide pregnancy planning and pre-conception care, but the gynaecology service does not provide routine obstetric, antenatal or ongoing pregnancy follow-up once pregnancy is established.
Can consultation and IUD insertion happen at the same appointment?
It may be possible where clinically appropriate. In some cases, assessment, testing or a separate insertion appointment may be recommended.
Can I obtain an IUD through the clinic?
Yes. We can issue prescriptions for patients covered by the free contraception scheme. For patients who are not covered, hormonal and copper IUDs are available to purchase from the clinic.
Is Endotest available?
Yes. Endotest is available for appropriately selected patients following clinical assessment. Your clinician will explain whether it is suitable and how it fits into the wider endometriosis assessment.
